Map the weekly need in hours and handovers
Write each recurring task, when it must happen and whether it needs the same person to know the household routine. Separate cleaning from supervision, meal preparation and care handovers.
If most needs fit into scheduled blocks, part-time support may be sufficient. If the role spans changing daily routines, assess whether a full-time arrangement is proportionate.
Compare the complete commitment
A full-time live-in role involves more than availability. The household must define duties, accommodation, rest, privacy, communication and employment records.
A part-time service has narrower continuity but may reduce household management. Compare the whole arrangement, not only the hourly or monthly price.
